One of the Most Powerful Homas of Navratri
Ashtami is one of the most important days of Navratri and is especially dedicated to worshipping the Divine Mother in Her powerful form.
To mark this sacred day, we have arranged a special Maha Chandi Homa at Sri Rajarajeshwari Temple in Bengaluru.
This is an especially rare opportunity because the temple becomes extremely busy during Navratri. We have secured a special slot for this Homa to be performed with the Sankalpas of our participants.
Because of the large number of devotees and ceremonies taking place at the temple during Navratri, this will not be live streamed.
The complete Homa will be professionally recorded and the recording will be sent to all participants after the ceremony.
The Power of Sri Rajarajeshwari
Sri Rajarajeshwari means the supreme Queen - the Divine Mother who rules over all creation.
She is worshipped as a form of Lalita Tripurasundari, representing the highest expression of Devi — beauty, wisdom, compassion, protection and divine power.
She represents the Shakti behind creation itself.
Her blessings are traditionally sought not only for spiritual growth but also for harmony, prosperity, protection, success and the fulfillment of righteous desires.
During Navratri, when the energy of Devi is worshipped intensely for nine nights, performing a powerful Devi ritual in a temple dedicated to Sri Rajarajeshwari makes this an especially beautiful opportunity to connect with the Divine Mother.
Why Maha Chandi Homa?
Maha Chandi Homa is one of the most powerful fire rituals dedicated to the Divine Mother.
Chandi represents the fierce and protective aspect of Devi - the power that destroys negativity, removes forces that obstruct our progress and gives us the courage and strength to overcome difficult situations.
The worship of Chandi is connected with the Devi Mahatmyam, which describes the victories of the Divine Mother over powerful negative forces.
These stories also carry a deeper symbolism.
The demons defeated by Devi can represent the forces we struggle with within and around us — fear, anger, confusion, attachment, negativity, repeated obstacles and situations that seem impossible to overcome.
Maha Chandi Homa invokes Devi’s Shakti to help us rise above these forces.
